ІThe Third Day after the Great Day. Having celebrated Easter itself, and then, celebrating Saint Thomas on the eighth day of the feast of the Resurrection of Christ, today we again remember the Easter of Christ. So it has been established in the Church that the most important dogma is about the Resurrection of Christ the Savior and about the Resurrection of the Dead, which will come on the day of Another Coming, the most important in our confessed faith. Since the other twelve saints are connected with the earthly lives of Christ the Savior, and we celebrate holy day only once every year (be it the Resurrection, Baptism, Transfiguration), then the Holy Resurrection of Christ the Church has laid out holy celebrations, reminding us of the glory of the Resurrection Oh Christ the Savior and about that , what will come, the resurrection of the dead of all the followers of Christ.
And on today’s day, brothers and sisters, we call the day of the day itself the day of the week—in remembrance talk about the Resurrection of Christ the Savior. Not this day, not the seventh day, but the “week” itself! This day, in its fortune telling about the Great Day, is comparable to the Great Day, for that week there are no fasts. This very week, people will march to the Church of Christ, so that once again they can remind themselves about what God is and what eternity is, to the extent of their guilt, they will forever fight.
Every day of the week, especially in the post-Easter period, the Church dedicates this or that. Today’s day of the week and week is called the Day of the Myrrh-Bearing Women. Today we celebrate the holy gathering of these squads, who were also disciples of Christ, and who inherited Him in earthly life. This is Mary Magdalene, who followed Christ the Savior with great feelings, and at that very hour she recovered from the terrible illness of the nightmare that drove away from her these demons. This is another Mary, mother of the apostles James and Joseph. This is Solomia, who was the mother of the Apostle John the Theologian and the Apostle Jacob Zebedee. This is John, who was the retinue of the housekeeper and courtier of King Herod Khuzi. These and Martha and Mary, the sisters of Lazarus, who in their days of honor before Christ the Savior often received Him in their home, and one of these methods is described in the Gospel: when Martha busied herself with the rule, prepared a feast, Maria heard, but could not follow the words that Christ the Savior said, now. With great feelings about their resurrected brother, who was resurrected by Christ the Savior – Lazarus, the twin twinkle, the sisters also followed Christ. Likewise, Mary, the sister of Lazarus, was able to anoint Christ the Savior before His holy sufferings and rites, pouring on His pound of light even before the hour of Christ’s visit to them.
These other myrrh-bearing squads are together with the righteous Joseph and Nicodemus, the nobles the townspeople of the city of Jerusalem, the princes of their people. From the very beginning they secretly saw Christ, hearing His desire, even if His terrible death was met on Golgotha, they did not disgrace their faith in Him as the Messiah. Joseph of Arimathea had prepared his new hanging trumpet for himself, having sacrificed the Savior for veneration, and together with Nicodemus, weeping, asked Pilate to give them the body of Jesus, so that they could abduct him until the day of rest, until the Sabbath.
Today, remembering these holy squads and holy righteous Joseph and Nicodemus, on which day we praise their faith. And, of course, they showed their feat by faith and self-deed. Even the bishops, scribes and princes of the Jewish people rose up against Christ the Savior. Nikodim and Joseph were not afraid of condemnation, they were not afraid of persecution, they were not afraid of re-examination, they openly showed themselves to be followers of Christ. This is a kind of confirmation. Like the rocks of persecutions, thirty or twenty rocks, to voice to oneself the people of the faith and the church – this meant givand persecution, mockery and humiliation. And just as in the 30s and 20s people did not worship God, fearing so much, going both to penal servitude and to the end, giving in to persecution not only for themselves, but for bringing their descendants, as enemies of the people, so Nicodemus – the stench revealed evidence.
Myrrh-bearing friends were together with the Mother of God, sharing Her sorrow. When the apostles succumbed to the “fear of the Jews,” everyone scattered, only Ivan the Theologian became faithful to Christ until the Cross and the Crucifixion, without losing heart. How could he and his myrrh-bearing companions not lose heart at the same time? Ale the Apostle John the Theologian is still a vindication: he was a relative of the high priest, and perhaps through this and without fear of persecution. The myrrh-bearing friends are not short of such controversy. The stench was white of the crucifixion of Christ the Savior, the stench was present at His worship, the stench stank of His Most Pure Mother, the stench was heard, soon after the Sabbath day had passed (for the Sabbath was a holy day for the Jewish people, nothing could be done for a long time) i). The stinks hurried “tomorrow”, like the Gospel: “still in the darkness”, to the throne. That’s it, early: before the sun had set, before there was light, the stench of the Sabbath day of calm hastened to the days of the day, in order to give due shan to their worshiped Teacher – the Messiah of the Savior Christ. The stinks took with them a supply of myrrh, took clean swaddling clothes and went to the trunion, not thinking that the majestic stone was laid before the trunion, that it was sealed with the signet of the Sanhedrin, that there were soldiers stationed there by Pilate, who were ordered to guard the trunion until the third day. They didn’t care about anything, nor about war, nor about the difficulty of throwing a stone, nor in the dark of the night, they didn’t complain about anything. They had only one grateful feeling, love and faith in Christ the Savior, to whom they with tears hastened to pay their last duty, anointing His body with the world.
But when they came to the coffin, they were the first messengers of Sunday. The first stench of the Mother of God heard from the voice of the angels who were hanging around the tomb oven, the words: “Why joke between the living and the dead? There is no Yogo here, She stood up”, and Mary Magdalene, who was shaking herself in trousers and was saddened, and was crying, managed to worship the Savior Himself, Who yelled at her: “Mary”, and she yelled: “The rabbis, as it seems to the reader ”, and rushed to the tide of great joy before Christ the Savior and felt the words of New: “Do not bother Me.” Thus Christ said, making it clear that it is not just a human being standing before her alive, but that He is the Risen God, who has united the human body with Himself “indivisibly and inseparably.” Having adjusted her mind to the present revelation, she finds herself buried in simple human feelings of burying, and it seems that she has gone to the apostles and Peter. It is not for nothing that even these words came to the apostles and Peter, and even Petro was spoken of three times, and he was no longer among the apostles, as we read in the Gospel: “Let us teach Yogo and Peter that you cook in Gal ilei” /em>, Hello Lord, experiencing and knowing his repentance and applauding for his soul, speak about Peter. And they hastened, myrrh-bearing friends, to the apostles and faithful teachers of Christ, who were without person. The stinks ran from house to house, from village to village, with the words: “Christ is Risen”! And we welcome you today, brothers and sisters, as a sign of faith in the Resurrection of Christ and in our graveside Resurrection.
ІMyrrh-bearing friends hastened to become apostles. Alas, as always, a woman is alive in her heart: so it seems to the holy fathers that a woman is alive in her heart and feelings, a man is often alive in her mind and draws out some proof of that chant, which the apostles did not immediately believe. Then Christ, having appeared to the eleventh apostles, did not care for their infidelity and cruelty, so that they did not believe those who spoke about His Resurrection. Then Thomas said: “I don’t put a nail in Yogo’s hand, and put my finger in a nail, and put my hand in Yogo’s ribs, I can’t believe it.” And Christ appeared to me, descending to my weakness and lack of faith: “Bring your finger to this, and my hand, and bring your hand, and place it in my side. I will not be unfaithful, but rather faithful.” And the Apostle Khoma shouted words that still confirm the dogma about the truth of the coming of Christ the Savior and the true Messiah to the world: “My Lord and my God.” And the germ of this faith in the apostles, this faith was sown by the holy myrrh-bearing companions. They preached Christianity together with the apostles.
It was not for nothing that Saint Mary Magdalene was called Rive of the Apostles, because she bore praci, equal to the teachings of Christ and the apostles, Then they went throughout the whole world preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God. As we have always preached, brothers and sisters, it is today’s tradition to prepare great eggs. Because with this very egg, as we forgive for nothing, Mary Magdalene came to the Emperor of Rome, speaking about the Resurrection of Christ, and she laughed, saying: “From the white egg of your hand, then I will I guess that Christ has risen.” And a miracle happened, in her hands the egg broke into red, and hence the tradition was adopted On Great Day, fry great eggs – for the riddle about the story that married St. Mary Magdalene in the city of Rome, in the imperial palace.
All these years, the holy warriors preached in France – Sama, Mar I am Magdalene, Martha and Mary, sisters of Lazarus. And the very relics of Mary Magdalene, as a preacher of Christianity, were preserved in France until the French Revolution as the greatest shrine, until after the shock of the first revolution until the end of the seventeenth century they were welcomed. And to this day, these powers remain here in worship, and even there in the ground, as the first sensed a sermon from the mouth of its enlightener. And over the years, following the myrrh-bearing squads, many squads have worked to broadly preach the Word of Christ.
We know, brothers and sisters, the Holy Apostle Queen Olena, who, together with her son, Kostyantin, established the Orthodox faith, and throughout her entire life, until her old age and death, set out to expand and expand it. This is Equal Apostle Nina, the enlightener of Georgia, as the whole of Georgia worships Saint Nina, as her enlightener, the kinswoman of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious. This is the Holy Equal Apostolic Princess Olga, who is called “the dawn of the morning, which precedes the sun,” the baptizer of Russia, the Equal Apostolic Prince Volodymyr. And she was wise and pious, and when Prince Volodymyr decided to baptize Holy Rus’ and the kiyan, the boyars who came together and discussed their choice of faith said: “It’s not for nothing that Olga and I were wise among the warriors of the Russians, la Christianity from the Greeks, we inherit their butt ” This example of piety, this example of wisdom and courage was the reason for our acceptance of the Holy Orthodox Faith.
We can richly name the holy squads, who are glorified by the Holy Church in the ranks of saints: here is the holy great martyr Barbara, here are the martyrs young men Vera, Nadiya and Lyubov and their mother Sophia, here is the holy martyr Tatiana, who is revered among us Illuminate Russia as a patron. So how much can one over-reinvent the squads of saints whom the Church glorified and put on the candlestick as a butt for inheritance! Thanks to the firmness of your faith, to your broad piety, to your self-given love for God and for your neighbor, whom you served here, for your earthly life, you won the holy squads. It is enough, brothers and sisters, to remember the simple squads that were not glorified by the Church, but most of all, those who served God and served our formation with you.
It is enough to remember our grandmothers, our mothers, as in our piety, in our ancestry, in an hour their unbearable morality served as a butt for us. As a result of the need to live, the need to work, the need to stand before our neighbors, they put in us the beginnings of faith, in our hearts and minds, at least a little bit, we wanted to talk to us about God at a godless hour, if there was total atheism, and if often churches there was only one per area. They did not forget God and this faith, as the faith lived in them. This faith was meant to be invested in us, and that is why we stand at the temples of God today and are called Orthodox Christians. Why, they secretly baptized us, often telling lies from their fathers, who had a negative view of the Church of Christ. They taught us the Lord’s Prayer, showed us how we need to be baptized, putting the cobs of faith into our soul, like igniting sparks, like Christ, with His grace and His providence, having developed the half of Divine love. in love with God, with His Holy Church, and with our Fatherland, Holy Russia, in the fullness of love for God and neighbor, as we hold in our hearts today.
Today’s Church praises the Christian woman. No one has approached a woman like Christianity. How many of us, brothers and sisters, are in towns, villages, and icons of the Mother of God! Kozhen, making friends, were often blessed with the icon of the Mother of God in family life. Mothers often hung the image of the Queen of Heaven on the necks of their sons, who were sent off to war or into the army, and often the icon of the Mother of God was blessed for their lives, brothers and sisters. And, marveling at the Queen of Heaven, we walked around as if “honored by the Cherubs and most glorious without equal by the Seraphim.” How many times, brothers and sisters, have we gone to the icons and holy relics of the saints of God, who are glorified by the Church, and who rest with imperishable relics, how many squads of saints have fought in monasteries and served in these monasteries as Vigom, our souls beseech you! How many simple women, both during the ungodly hours of Christianity and during the rocks of persecution, did not abandon the church, since the people One or two could have been killed, because out of cowardice, “fear of the Jews,” fear of godlessness, they were afraid to go to the church. The women resembled the temples of God, stood on the choirs and sang, they were often called out for encouragement by everyone, belittling them, threatening the abrogation of their father’s rights and other allowances. The Church of Christ was not deprived of the stench.
Inheriting the myrrh-bearing squad and marveling at their feat, brothers and sisters, we inherit all good things: from words, from the right, from thoughts, from a pious life, such as those that give us every memory from fortune-telling. Guessing today and the saints of God, fortune-telling the myrrh-bearing women, fortune-telling our pious ancestors: grandmothers and mothers, today’s Church magnifies and praises the Christian woman.
F Day Myrrh-Bearing Day was Holy Day The Orthodox Church is one hundred years old. During the Christian hours, this day was replaced by the holy 8th of Birth, calling it an international women’s day, without any sense, without any reason. The Orthodox Church contributes to this Women’s Day – the Day of the Myrrh-Bearing Women with a special sense. Vaughn exalts a moral woman, a hard-working woman, a woman who is pure in soul and heart, who has demonstrated the feat of self-dedicated service to God and her neighbor. Of course, it is even more difficult in our hour, because the clothes that women carry, the grooming of children, keeping the house in order, cooking, washing and tidying up the stench of that work, which is often incomprehensible. And this power, having so wisely said that there is a ancient woman in the rights of a man, has also attracted work in the workshops, in the production plant. And this woman, instead of being the keeper of the rot, comes with a whip, is exhausted from her work, and doesn’t know what to worry about at home: either for the care of the children whose street she is in, or for putting things in order, or for preparing for I’m going to dinner how to lie in her lap. The Church has always understood the service of women, the formation of the Christian generation. Therefore, in the past, there were most squads that did not work in industries and businesses, but that served their families—served with their prayers, their work, their pious and moral practices.
Today, brothers and sisters, knowing that today is holy, let us be blessed. Those who have living mothers, grandmothers, friends, then do not forget to greet them today, especially religious people and religious squads. Today is our day, it’s holy! Whoever doesn’t have them, they have been around since before Christ the Savior, light a candle for her repose today, don’t forget to pray for them today, remembering them at the service, at the funeral litany, as soon as speak at the following Divine Liturgy.
ІDo not forget today neither the living nor the dead. Not those who still serve us today and promise about us, do not forget those who, having served their lives, in order to raise us, win us, grow and conquer us. Don’t forget about them, brothers and sisters, and believe that the next coming of Christ will have such great joy in the presence of friends, in the form of friends with those from whom, it seemed, we had already been separated before. And we are still in awe of these, until such great things seem to live in our souls until this day and live until our death.
